The short version

What the story form collects

The answers you type into the form at /guest: the name you want to be called, your email, where you are, your story and the details you choose to share, your recording preferences, and which mornings suit you. We also record when you sent it and, if you came from one of our short links, which one (for example “tiktok”), so we know where guests find us.

Please use a nickname for the other people in your story, not their full names.

Who sees it

The host and one helper. That’s all. Submissions go to a private Google Sheet and a private copy goes to our contact@143memorylane.com inbox, both only open to the two of us.

How long we keep it

Want your story deleted sooner, or a copy of what we hold? Email contact@143memorylane.com and we’ll do it.

The services we use

A few companies handle data for us, only to make the site and email work:

Cookies and your device

We don’t set tracking or advertising cookies, so there’s no cookie banner. While you fill in the story form, your answers are saved in your own browser (not on our servers) so a reload doesn’t lose them. They’re cleared once your story is sent, or when you press “Clear them”.

Publishing

Sending a story never gives us permission to publish it. If we pick your story, you sign a release before we record. It explains what we can make from your recording (the film, the podcast, Patreon and a fictional book adaptation) and lets you choose a pseudonym.

Age

Guests must be 18 or older. We don’t knowingly collect stories from anyone younger.
